Month of Wood is Social's celebration of using barrels for aging and fermentation.  Beginning February 1st we will be showcasing a line up six beers that have all utilized freshly emptied french oak red wine barrels from San Francisco based winery, Oro en Paz.  Some of these beers have been aging for two years, others for just one month.  These beers range widely in profiles and we are super excited for you to taste the results of these extremely limited experiments.  Most of these beers will never be replicated, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.  Please join us for this unique opportunity to try something new.

The Line Up:

Jolly Good - red wine barrel fermented brown ale 7.2% abv

Bramling Cross Rye IPA - red wine barrel fermented english style IPA 7.1% abv

Continuum No.2 - belgian pale ale aged in red wine barrels for 18 months w/ a blend of wild yeast. 6.2% abv

Red Tuxedo - imperial stout aged in red wine barrels for one year 10.0% abv

Cassini Claussenii - belgian quad aged in red wine barrels for one year w/ wild yeast, then aged in stainless for one more year. 9.8%

Colliding Neutron Stars - partial sour mashed hoppy strong ale aged in red wine barrels for two years with a special blend of wild yeast 11.4% abv
